Happy Meal: a delicious meat-free bean burger recipe.

Eat with or without a bun, wrapped in salad leaves or create a mushroom burger bun by grilling portabello mushrooms.  Great with salad and sweet potato chips.

Ingredients:

half an onion

2 cloves of garlic

1 carrot

1 can kidney beans

1 tbsp djon mustard

1 tbsp tomato puree

1 tbsp soy sauce

1 tsp ground cumin

3oz rolled oats

Method:

Grate the carrot, chop garlic and onion and gently fry in a pan.

In a bowl, smash the beans, and add the spices and condiments.

Add the carrots, onion and garlic to the bowl and mix thoroughly

Shape into patties and cook at 200 C for 30 mins.

It’s so simple, and get creative with different spices and condiments to suit your taste.
